Collections galore characterize this boy’s room

Since Frederick turned 3, I’ve been learning that a little boy room looks quite different than a nursery. Little boy rooms seem to be full of collections.

One day Frederick really grasped the idea of triangles, so he made a ton of them out of playdough and saved them all! Here's his collection of playdough triangles.

He wanted to decorate his door with some art. The painting is from one of his friends - I love watching little kid friendships blossom!

When we moved I had a really hard time with the oak trim. I had no idea what colors to put on the walls. After a lot of research I decided to paint the bedrooms white and use a lot of color accents. One of my friends thought his room looked very Nordic in style. Here is his room on a really good day – it almost never looks like this!

Last but not least – here is Frederick’s masterpiece. He wanted to hang it on the wall right by his bed, but we found he was playing with it way too much and kept pulling the nail out of the wall so it’s been relegated to the bookshelf.
