it's been quite the month -- we moved out of our house on may 21, traveled for 10 days, plopped into a hotel for 7 days, spent 6 days in a friends' basement, and have been in our summer apartment for 14 days now. last night we unloaded all our stuff into our new house and will spend the next month or two getting it fixed up, painted, and ready for move in. transitions are strange. it feels like you're in a holding pattern -- a liminal space between now and then, there and here. there are a few things that help maintain equanimity and peace through it all -- deep breaths, prayer, the most supportive and loving family and friends, and plenty of nature reminding me that things take the time they take. ✨
